A whole life – 80 years of BUBU AG | Bookfactory

This year, Bubu celebrates its 80th birthday. In April 1941, in the middle of the Second World War, Albert Burkhardt took over a small bookbindery on Forchstrasse in Zurich. This is the beginning of a long success story.

The original three-man business has grown into Bubu AG, a modern company with around 100 employees and a wide range of products that combines industrial techniques, current digital developments and the world of traditional bookbinding.

As a third-generation family business, we are proud of this history. Like the solid roots of an old tree, it gives us the steadfastness to weather stormy times. And just as a tree rejuvenates itself by shedding rotten branches and giving new ones the air and light they need to grow, Bubu has always kept up with the times and constantly adapted its range of products to the needs of its customers.

Basic values such as reliability, striving for quality, innovative spirit and creativity determine our understanding of work.
