How to mark important events in your photo calendars

Photo calendars are particularly useful for finding your way around the month. What day is it today, is there something coming up or can I dangle my legs? At the same time, photo calendars also remind us of beautiful moments when we decorate them with personal pictures. We can fill them with pictures that make us feel good, are aesthetic or come from our own photography. So photo calendars are a way to express ourselves and do so in 12 different ways each year.

They become really practical when we mark special beacons. Birthdays, festivities, wedding anniversaries or other days we want to remember. These are all dates that have a special meaning in the course of the year.

In this blog, we explain how you can use our design software to record these dates, add the right icon and the dates are thus recorded for each coming year.

The calendar

Our wall and real photo calendars offer a choice of positioning for the calendar:

  • do not show
  • bottom, narrow
  • bottom
  • right
  • left

The selected position is applied to all calendar pages. Try out all the variations and decide on the most suitable one.

Enter important dates

You can already enter events via the predefined items “Birthdays” and “Events”. Or create a new group via “Add event group”.

Now you can start entering your data:

  1. Give the event group a suitable name
  2. Select the symbol (or no symbol). You can choose between event, birthday, wedding day or death anniversary.
  3. Enter a date and a name
  4. Save and close

Designing the calendar and monthly pages

In the next step, you can colour the calendar. Select the days you want and the colour that suits you. The dates you have entered appear as holidays.

You are also free to design the calendar page as you wish. Drag in as many pictures as you like or stick to one picture.

Customise language

You can design your calendar in 16 different languages. Including even Norwegian, Japanese or Chinese. Just right as a gift, for language students or a country-specific calendar.

Our tip: Make sure you choose the right starting month. The calendar does not have to start in January 🙂
