This year, we were again present as the main sponsor at Photo Münsingen as an exhibitor. In this context, we organised a photo book competition for the first time – we were looking for the most beautiful Bookfactory photo books in Switzerland. We would like to present the top 3 to you in this blog post.
The 10 most exceptional books were chosen from all the entries and presented to the Photo Münsingen jury for selection. The content, design and overall impression of the photo book were judged. During the Photo Münsingen, the books could be examined at the Bookfactory stand.
1st place: «Sichtweise»
Description of the project:
As a positive person, I always see the beautiful, aesthetic in the world. Thus, my pictures are a reflection of my soul, a reflection of myself. It is therefore my concern to give expression to beauty.

2nd place: «Kyrgyzstan»
Description of the project:
On our six-month bikepacking trip, we cycled and hiked through remote areas in Kyrgyzstan’s Tian Shan Mountains. A highlight for us, both scenically and culturally. An adventure with wonderful encounters but also lonely hours in wild and barren nature. The photos can only approximate the indescribable dimensions. Nevertheless, they always take us back to the land of the yurts. The photo book «Kyrgyzstan» is part of a series of our photo books on the bikepacking trip of Yann & Miléna from August 2022 to January 2023.

3rd place: «Eieiei»
Description of the project:
Each egg carton is a small work of art. Each egg is also unique, because these eggs are not standardised like the ones you buy. The idea of a photo book was born. A book about cartons and eggs. And then the hitherto unsolved question germinates: Which came first? The egg carton, the egg or even the chicken?
