This year, we once again supported Photo Münsingen 2026 as main sponsor. As part of this, we held a photo book competition for the fourth time – looking for the most beautiful Bookfactory photo books in Switzerland. In this blog post, we would like to present the Top 3.
From all submissions , the 10 most exceptional books were selected and presented to the Photo Münsingen jury for the final decision. The books were assessed based on content, design and the overall impression of the photo book. During Photo Münsingen , the books could be viewed at the Bookfactory stand.
1st place: «Leise Spuren der Natur», Simone Wirth

Project description:
Leise Spuren der Natur is a photographic project about quiet perception. At its centre are subtle moments in nature – fleeting moods of light, fragile forms and delicate colour nuances that are easily overlooked in everyday life.
The photographs see themselves as visual meditations on transience, presence and the poetic potential of the moment. Short, reduced texts accompany the images, not as explanations, but as quiet impulses that bring image and language into dialogue.
The book invites the viewer to look more slowly and to discover nature as a quiet space of experience – as a counterpoint to the visual overload of our time.
Simone Wirth, Windisch
Jury report: Beautiful minimalist images and inspiring texts. A light and elegant layout with plenty of space for the images to breathe. The possibilities of book design have been used skilfully and poetically. A very harmonious overall impression.

2nd place: «Street Photography Everyday Aesthetics», Oliver Theinert

Project description:
A photo book about beauty in everyday life. Street photography from abstract to concrete.
I am always looking for beautiful images, anytime and anywhere.
This book contains a selection of photographs that I found in my everyday life. The book is intended to give the content the right form.

Jury report: Skilful street art photography. Exciting images that play with light, colours and focus. Book format, typography, layout, content and images fit together perfectly and are convincing. The arrangement of the images is varied, and empty spaces are used well.
